CVE-2022-32454Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via unchecked camera name copy

Published Oct 25, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in Abode iota All-In-One Security Kit 6.9X and 6.9Z allows remote attackers to execute code via XML. The setIPCam handler uses strcpy to copy the attacker-controlled n-tag value into a 32-byte xfinder_config_t.name stack buffer without validating its length. An unauthenticated UDP/55050 XCMD service exposes the handler on the network; overflowing the buffer overwrites the saved return value and grants control of execution.
