Unauthorized backend access via hardcoded JWT secret
Published Jul 21, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Access control failure in TaleLin Lin CMS Spring Boot 0.2.1 allows remote attackers to access backend information and functions. The application.yml configuration embeds a fixed token-secret value used for JSON Web Tokens, enabling attackers to forge accepted authentication tokens. Network access is sufficient without credentials or user interaction; exploitation exposes backend data, with no reported integrity or availability impact.
