User redirection via unescaped template search keyword
Published Sep 20, 2022 · Updated May 29, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Microweber before 1.3.2 allows remote attackers to redirect users through a crafted template-search keyword. The template-search response renders the keyword as HTML without neutralizing markup, making attacker-supplied elements active page content. No account is required, but a user must open the crafted request; the documented consequence is redirection to an attacker-chosen site.
