Authenticated database read and modification via SQL injection
Published Jun 24, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Prison Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read or alter database records through an inmate id. The manage_inmate.php handler embeds $_GET['id'] directly in a SELECT query against inmate_list without parameterization or escaping. Administrator or staff credentials are required to reach the management interface, and the published proof tests attacker-chosen database conditions.
