Administrator-level stored XSS via unsanitized slider text
Published Oct 31, 2022 · Updated May 6, 2025
Stored XSS in Fullworks Plugins WP Contact Slider before 2.4.8 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through slider text. The Text to display setting accepts HTML without adequate input sanitization or output escaping, so saved markup executes when a visitor opens a page containing the slider. Administrator access is required to store the payload, and a visitor must view the affected page; execution occurs in that visitor's browser context.
