Authenticated database disclosure via room ID injection
Published Jun 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Hospital's Patient Records Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read MySQL data through a crafted room ID. The view_room.php endpoint accepts an injected UNION SELECT expression in the id parameter and returns database metadata in its response. Access requires an administrator session, and the published proof demonstrates disclosure of the current database name rather than broader data modification.
