Database disclosure via stored search SQL injection
Published Jul 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Second-order SQL injection in Piwigo 12.2.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to read MySQL data through a crafted search. The public proof of concept stores a crafted payload in the piwigo_search table, then triggers its use through the administrative history search. Exploitation requires an administrator to open the crafted history URL; successful injection exposes database contents, including the administrator credential value.
