CVE-2022-32274Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored script execution via unencoded project names

Published Jul 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Stored XSS in Transition Scheduler 6.5.0 for Atlassian Jira allows remote authenticated users to run script in another user's browser. The scheduled-issue creation page inserts project names returned by /rest/thescheduler/1.0/project into the page without context-sensitive HTML encoding. An attacker must be able to create or rename a Jira project, and another logged-in user must open the scheduled-issue creation page; the script then performs actions in that user's session.
