Memory corruption in InsydeH2O kernels 5.0 through 5.5 allows local users to corrupt ACPI fields and adjacent memory via DMA. The PcdSmmDxe software SMI handler reuses a DMA-accessible parameter buffer without preventing it from changing between validation and use. Exploitation requires high privileges, precise timing, and detailed knowledge of the platform's PCD database contents.
