Certificate password disclosure via invalid certificate input
Published Jun 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in Siemens SINEMA Remote Connect Server before 3.1 allows remote authenticated users to read a certificate password. The certificate-processing path fails to validate OpenSSL certificate input and prints its password into an attacker-reachable file. Exploitation requires high-privileged remote access, and the documented consequence is credential disclosure rather than modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
