Authenticated privilege escalation via unchecked role changes
Published Jun 14, 2022 · Updated Apr 21, 2025
Missing authentication in SINEMA Remote Connect Server before 3.1 allows remote authenticated users to gain administrative privileges. A role-and-permission resource changes any user's permissions without verifying authentication for that critical operation. Low-privileged network access is required, and successful exploitation permits control over user privileges, including promotion to an administrative account.
