Arbitrary file deletion via path traversal
Published Mar 27, 2023 · Updated Feb 19, 2025
Path traversal in db_convert.php in ScriptCase 9.9.008 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary files. The endpoint uses the file parameter for deletion without confining traversal sequences to an intended directory. An administrator account and network access to the ScriptCase interface are required; deleting application or system files can interrupt service.
