CVE-2022-32175Network attack vector

Filtering-rule modification via cross-site requests

Published Oct 11, 2022 · Updated May 20, 2025

Cross-site request forgery in AdGuard Home 0.95 through 0.108.0-b.13 allows remote attackers to alter custom filtering rules. The filtering-rule endpoint accepted cross-origin text/plain requests while session cookies lacked a SameSite restriction, allowing a linked page to submit rules with an administrator's session. An authorized administrator must follow an attacker-controlled link; the resulting request can replace or delete DNS filtering rules and interrupt intended filtering.
