CVE-2022-32170Network attack vector

Project metadata disclosure via unbound user filter

Published Sep 28, 2022 · Updated May 21, 2025

Improper authorization in Bytebase 0.1.0 through 1.0.4 allows remote authenticated users to read administrators' project metadata. The GET /api/project handler trusts the caller-supplied user query parameter and filters projects for that principal without verifying it matches the authenticated principal. A low-privilege account can substitute an administrator's numeric user ID; the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of project records, not modification or service interruption.
