Browser script execution via crafted SVG upload
Published Jul 8, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Known 1.3.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script in another user's browser via a crafted SVG file. The isSVG() path treats crafted SVG content as an image without rejecting embedded script or PHP tags, leaving active content in the stored file. Exploitation requires a user to view the uploaded file and permits browser-session data access or modification, with no reported service interruption.
