Database crash via poisoned-memory write

Use-after-free in MariaDB Server 10.4 through 10.7 allows remote authenticated users to crash the database via crafted SQL. During an instant ALTER TABLE that adds and drops generated columns, prepare_inplace_add_virtual writes 64 bytes into poisoned heap memory. A database account able to create and alter InnoDB tables can reach the path; the published proof of concept aborts an AddressSanitizer build.
