Database disclosure via unescaped guests parameter
Published Jul 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Time-based blind SQL injection in Inout Homestay 2.2 allows remote attackers to read database data through a crafted guests value. The public search handler at /index.php?page=search/rentals incorporates the POST guests parameter into a MySQL query without neutralizing SQL syntax, allowing a SLEEP() expression to control response timing. No authentication or user interaction is required; the published proof of concept demonstrates database enumeration through the timing oracle, while write access is not established.
