Unauthenticated service crash via unchecked cloneMac length
Published Jul 1, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stack overflow in the web component of TOTOLINK T6 firmware 4.1.9cu.5179_B20201015 allows remote attackers to crash its service via crafted JSON. The /web_cste/cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi handler FUN_0041621c splits the cloneMac value and concatenates its segments into stack locals without checking length. The unauthenticated request must set proto to 1; successful exploitation interrupts the affected web service without reported data disclosure or modification.
