CVE-2022-3205Network attack vector

Browser script execution via crafted project name

Published Sep 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Stored XSS in Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform 1.2 and 2.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via a project name. The Automation Controller UI renders an attacker-controlled project name without neutralizing active web content. An authenticated user must save the crafted name and a victim must view it in the UI, exposing that browser session to script execution.
