Unauthenticated service crash via unchecked command copy
Published Jul 1, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stack overflow in the web component of TOTOLINK T6 firmware 4.1.9cu.5179_B20201015 allows remote attackers to crash the CGI process. The cstecgi.cgi handler FUN_0041cc88 copies the JSON command value into stack-local storage without checking its length. An unauthenticated network request to setting/setTracerouteCfg reaches the flaw; published evidence establishes a crash, not code execution.
