Unauthenticated denial of service via unchecked POST parameters
Published Jul 1, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stack overflow in Tenda M3 1.0.0.12 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via crafted HTTP POST parameters. The formGetPassengerAnalyseData handler copies the time and search POST values into stack buffers without checking their lengths, so oversized values overwrite adjacent stack memory. No privileges or user interaction are required, and the demonstrated consequence is a denial-of-service interruption rather than data access or modification.
