Service crash via unchecked listN copy
Published Jul 1, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stack overflow in Tenda M3 firmware 1.0.0.12 allows remote attackers to crash the httpd service via a crafted listN value. fromDhcpListClient concatenates a listN-indexed POST value into a stack buffer without a length check, overwriting a pointer later passed to atoi. The published proof of concept reaches /goform/DhcpListClient only after replacing the firmware permission check and sending an admin cookie, so unauthenticated reachability on an unmodified device is not demonstrated.
