Authenticated service crash via oversized radio parameter
Published Jul 1, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stack overflow in Tenda M3 firmware 1.0.0.12 allows remote authenticated users to crash the access controller via a crafted HTTP request. The httpd formSetAPCfg handler at goform/setWtpData processes an oversized radio_2g POST value in vulnerable policy branches, overflowing its stack. Access requires an administrative session cookie, and exploitation interrupts the controller service rather than disclosing or altering data.
