Unauthenticated port 1200 interruption via malformed request

Improper error handling in ABB AC500 V2 before 2.8.6 allows remote attackers to interrupt its port 1200 service via crafted requests. The Level 2 AC protocol handler fails to process an invalid request through its error-handling path, producing a denial-of-service condition on TCP port 1200. Network access to the PLC is sufficient and no login is required; communications through the separate port 1201 TCP/IP protocol remain available.
