Authenticated command execution via unsanitized diagnostic parameters
Published Oct 27, 2022 · Updated May 7, 2025
OS command injection in GL.iNet GL-MT300N-V2 Mango 3.212 and GL-AX1800 Flint 3.214 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The ping and traceroute handlers pass unvalidated ping_addr and trace_addr values from direct POST requests to shell commands, bypassing client-side checks. A high-privilege router or cloud-management session is required; successful injection runs commands as the application user and can alter router settings.
