Remote authenticated database disclosure via unsafe ORDER BY
Published Apr 5, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
SQL injection in the osTicket Audit Log plugin allows remote authenticated users to read database contents through a crafted order parameter. The getOrder() method passed the request value into an ORDER BY clause because the intended orderWays allowlist was undefined, leaving the value unsanitized. Access to the staff audit page and a valid session are required; blind time-based queries can extract password hashes, PII, and privilege data.
