Database compromise via injectable date parameter
Published Jul 26, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Online Fire Reporting System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read or alter database data via the date parameter. The /admin reports request passes the GET date value into a MySQL query without neutralizing quote-delimited SQL, enabling boolean-, error-, time-, and UNION-based injection. Access to the administrative interface is required; successful exploitation exposes application records and account data to reading or modification.
