Browser script execution via unneutralized profile name
Published Jun 17, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in TRENDnet TV-IP110WN firmware 1.2.2.68 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser. The /admin/scheprofile.cgi handler places the untrusted proname parameter into generated HTML without neutralizing executable script content. Exploitation requires a user to load the affected page; the script runs in that page's security context and can read or alter browser-accessible data.
