Published Jun 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in WAVLINK WN579 X3 firmware M79X3.V5030.180719 allows remote attackers to read router configuration data. The /cgi-bin/ExportAllSettings.sh endpoint returns an encrypted configuration file without authorization, and published decryption details expose the administrator password. No authentication or user interaction is required; a crafted POST request can disclose stored credentials and other device settings.
