Password disclosure via unprotected protocol transmission

Unprotected credential transport in CODESYS V2 clients and servers allows remote attackers to capture passwords from network traffic. The CODESYS communication protocol sends client-server passwords without transport protection rather than encrypting the authentication exchange. An attacker must be able to sniff the communication path; captured passwords expose access protected by those credentials.
