Unauthenticated command execution via unsanitized grel.php parameters
Published Jun 20, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
OS command injection in Fujitsu ETERNUS CentricStor CS8000 before 8.1A SP02 P04 allows remote attackers to execute commands without authentication. The grel_finfo function passes attacker-controlled user, pw, and file values directly into a system call without validation or shell escaping. Direct network access to the unauthenticated script is sufficient; successful exploitation runs commands as www-data and exposes the backup appliance to takeover.
