Reflected script execution via unsanitized assessment path
Published Jun 21, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in IdeaLMS 2022 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in a victim's browser through a crafted assessment URL. The Class/Assessment route places attacker-controlled PATH_INFO into generated HTML without neutralizing an injected onload attribute. Exploitation requires the victim to open the malicious link, enabling script execution in the application's browser origin and associated read or write access.
