Sensitive data reads and memory exhaustion via XXE
Published Jul 31, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
XXE in the Web UI of IBM DataPower Gateway affected releases allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive data or exhaust memory. The Web UI XML-processing path permits external entity expansion from attacker-controlled XML; IBM has not identified the parser, file, or function that fails to restrict entity resolution. Reachability requires a highly privileged account and access to an enabled management interface; consequences are limited to sensitive-data reads and memory exhaustion.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
