CVE-2022-31759

Local service interruption via uninitialized pointer access

Published Jun 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Uninitialized pointer access in Huawei AppLink on affected HarmonyOS and EMUI releases allows local users to interrupt system availability. Huawei has not disclosed the named function or triggering input; the AppLink component accesses a pointer before that pointer is initialized. Low-privilege local access is required without user interaction, and the published impact is limited to availability without identifying a crash, hang, or reboot.
