CVE-2022-31747Network attack vector

Arbitrary code execution via undisclosed memory corruption

Published Dec 22, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025

Memory safety flaws in Mozilla Firefox before 101, Firefox ESR before 91.10, and Thunderbird before 91.10 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. Mozilla groups six internally found bugs under this CVE and reports evidence of memory corruption, but the public advisories do not disclose the affected code loci or incorrect operations. Exploitation depends on reaching an undisclosed input path; Thunderbird disables scripting while reading email, limiting exposure there to browser or browser-like contexts.
