Broken access control in VMware Aria Operations 8.6.x and 8.10 allows local users to read sensitive operating-system information. The CaSA configuration lacks proper access controls, allowing code executed with low privileges on an appliance to disclose information in the root context. Exploitation requires administrative application privileges or an existing ability to execute low-privileged code on the target appliance; no data modification or service interruption is reported.
