CVE-2022-31631Network attack vector

SQL injection via PDO SQLite length overflow

Published Feb 12, 2025 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

SQL injection in PDO_SQLITE in PHP before 8.0.27, 8.1.15, or 8.2.2 in each supported branch allows remote attackers to alter queries. The PDO_SQLITE quoter passes a length derived from an unrestricted 64-bit string to sqlite3_snprintf's int parameter, causing integer overflow and malformed output. Exploitation requires an application to pass attacker-controlled input exceeding normal memory and request-size limits into PDO::quote() and then interpolate its result into SQL.
