CVE-2022-31612

Kernel information disclosure or crash via out-of-bounds read

Published Nov 18, 2022 · Updated Apr 29, 2025

Out-of-bounds read in NVIDIA Cloud Gaming Guest Driver before the August 2022 release allows local users to leak kernel data or crash Windows. The nvlddmkm.sys DxgkDdiEscape handler performs an out-of-bounds read while processing a request from a basic local user. Basic local access is required; the bounded consequences are internal kernel-information disclosure and a system crash, with no reported integrity impact.
