CVE-2022-31610

Kernel code execution via out-of-bounds write

Published Nov 18, 2022 · Updated Apr 29, 2025

Out-of-bounds write in NVIDIA Cloud Gaming Guest Driver before the August 2022 release allows local users to execute kernel code. The nvlddmkm.sys kernel-mode layer performs an out-of-bounds write during a local-user-triggered operation; NVIDIA has not disclosed the triggering request. Basic local access is required, and successful exploitation can elevate privileges, disclose information, corrupt data, or crash the guest.
