Code execution via PDF parser stack overflow
Published Jan 13, 2023 · Updated Jan 16, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in APDFL.dll in Siemens JT2Go and Teamcenter Visualization allows local users to execute code via a crafted PDF. The APDFL parser writes attacker-controlled PDF data beyond a stack buffer while processing the file. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious PDF and can run code in the current process or crash the application.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
