Improper authentication in Rockwell Automation Studio 5000 Logix Emulate 20.011 through 33.011 allows local users to execute code. The installer assigns elevated permissions to select product services, letting a low-privileged account invoke their privileged execution context. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access and grants code execution with elevated rights; Rockwell has not publicly named the affected services.
