Path traversal in lyubolp Barry-Voice-Assistant through 2021-01-18 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via crafted audio requests. The frontend app concatenates an attacker-controlled filename with a static directory and passes the resulting absolute path to Flask send_file, allowing requests to escape the intended web root. No authentication or user interaction is required; exposed deployments can disclose application secrets and operating-system files, with low availability impact from large-file reads.
