Arbitrary file read via unsafe send_file path

Path traversal in bam_annotation_tool through 2021-08-31 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files through a crafted request. The Flask send_file call uses attacker-controlled absolute paths without restricting resolution to an approved directory, so requested paths can escape the intended file location. Exploitation requires network reachability to the application endpoint; the documented consequence is confidentiality loss, with no integrity impact reported.
