Forced browsing in HID Mercury controller firmware before 1.29 allows remote attackers to delete a web-interface user. The controller processes a crafted unauthenticated network request to the user-management interface and performs the deletion without enforcing access control. Network access to an enabled controller web server is required; deletion can lock out legitimate users until physical recovery through the default-user DIP switch.
