Session hijacking via fake deep-link application reference
Published Dec 26, 2022 · Updated Apr 14, 2025
Cross-site scripting in the OX App Suite frontend 7.10.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script code via a deep link. The email deep-link detector accepts path-traversal-style app values as references to arbitrary fake applications and requests unexpected content as script code. Exploitation requires a victim to follow the crafted hyperlink, after which code runs in the victim's session and can hijack it or trigger unwanted web-interface actions.
