Privilege escalation in Adaware Protect 1.2.439.4251 allows local users to execute arbitrary programs as SYSTEM on Windows. The Adaware Protect Service grants Everyone full control of its configuration, so an unprivileged account can replace its binary path. The referenced disclosure also demonstrates 1.2.495.4325; exploitation requires a reboot after disabling the service and yields SYSTEM access.
