CVE-2022-31463Public exploit

Settings modification via client-only Bluetooth authentication

Published Jun 2, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Improper authentication in Owl Labs Meeting Owl 5.2.0.15 allows physically proximate attackers to change meeting settings over Bluetooth. The companion app checks the configured passcode on the client, but the device accepts and executes Bluetooth commands without independently validating it. Bluetooth range is required, and the documented consequence is unauthorized access to per-meeting defaults such as Presenter Enhance and 360-degree panorama settings.
