Script execution via disputed web endpoint
Published Jul 28, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Yii 2 2.0.45 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser through the /books endpoint. The sole cited report does not identify any Yii 2 function that renders untrusted /books input without context-appropriate output encoding. Exploitation requires a user to open crafted content, and the vendor disputes applicability because the cited report does not connect the endpoint to Yii 2.
