Post-login redirection via unnormalized return URL

Open redirect in Okta OIDC Middleware before 5.0.0 allows remote attackers to redirect users to arbitrary sites after login. The ensureAuthenticated handler stores req.originalUrl or req.url in req.session.returnTo without collapsing leading slashes, so a network-path reference becomes an external redirect target. Exploitation requires a victim to open a crafted URL and successfully complete the Okta login flow, resulting in navigation to an attacker-controlled site.
