Database disclosure via injectable login username
Published Jun 1, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Simple Inventory System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to disclose database data through the login page. The login.php handler evaluates the submitted username as SQL syntax instead of restricting it to a literal value in the authentication query. The demonstrated Boolean condition changes the post-login redirect and exposes a response oracle; a valid backend password is required, and only database-name inference is publicly demonstrated.
